The Super Bowl is the biggest stage for advertising, with nearly 200 million US adults estimated to be tuned in to watch this year’s Philadelphia Eagles-Kansas City Chiefs contest.
It’s also one of the most expensive for big brands – companies are paying around $7 million for a 30-second ad during Super Bowl LVII this year.
Cryptocurrency companies will be conspicuous by their absence in 2023, having made a splash during last year’s game and being fired for a loss in the wake of the FTX trading scandal, a series of industry bankruptcies and a plunge in crypto prices. Instead, most of the spots come from automakers, liquor sellers, and tech companies.

As usual, advertisers count on a number of celebrities from the entertainment and sports worlds to promote their brands, including P. Diddy, Adam Driver, Will Ferrell and Kevin Garnett. Melissa McCarthy, Tony Romo, Alicia Silverstone, Miles Teller, John Travolta and Serena Williams.
