2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class coupe spy footage
The redesigned 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class debuted last June, and now we have new spy shots of a prototype for the more dynamically styled GLC-Class coupe option of the compact crossover.
The regular crossover and the coupé-like variant appear even more differentiated in the new generation of the GLC-Class, especially at the rear of this GLC-Class Coupé, where the breasts and the duck-tail spoiler appear significantly more pronounced than on the current model.
Riding on Mercedes’ MHA (Modular High Architecture) platform for rear-wheel drive crossovers and SUVs, the new GLC-class coupe will share its key underpinnings with the current model. But this generation should be lighter thanks to weight savings achieved through increased use of aluminum over steel.
Powertrains were to be shared with the regular GLC class, meaning only 2.0-litre turbocharged 4 engines, including for AMG’s redesigned GLC 43 coupe and GLC 63 coupe. Look for a 258hp mild hybrid setup in a base GLC 300 coupe. A similar setup but with 402 hp should be found in the GLC 43 coupe, while a plug-in hybrid setup with 671 hp should power the GLC 63 coupe, matching what is found in the new generations of C 43 and C 63 is offered. Expect the GLC 63 Coupé to debut in a new top-of-the-line GLC 63 SE Performance Coupé, just like the new C 63.

Inside, the driver is greeted by a digital cockpit consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment hub. Based on the features of the regular GLC-Class, you can expect the GLC-Class Coupé to benefit from the latest generation of Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system, as well as a long list of standard and available technology, including Matrix LED headlights with projection functions and navigation with augmented reality, a head-up display and an off-road menu with a driving mode that offers transparent hood technology.
Mercedes is introducing the new GLC-Class for model year 2023 and the new GLC-Class coupe is set to debut for 2024, meaning an arrival later this year.
