Porsche engineers have been spotted testing prototypes for an updated version of the Cayenne Coupé.
The Cayenne Coupe, as the name suggests, is a coupe-like version of the Cayenne that was developed to include high-end versions of the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE coupes, as well as Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and recently unveiled Ferrari Purosangue.
It was first launched in 2019 as a 2020 model, and for 2022 the range has been expanded to include a top variant of the Cayenne Turbo GT.
This updated Cayenne Coupé is slated for release in the spring, likely as a 2024 model. It will coincide with the arrival of an updated version of the regular Cayenne, for which prototypes are also being tested.
The Cayenne Coupé prototype shows the new face that Porsche is planning for the entire Cayenne series. The most notable change is a more square design for the headlights, which also benefit from Porsche’s latest Matrix LED technology. There is also a new front apron with larger air intakes and two horizontal elements for the integrated daytime running lights.
The test vehicle’s dashboard was fully camouflaged, indicating likely changes for the interior. We expect a digital instrument cluster like in the Taycan EV, which itself is about to be updated.

It’s not clear what Porsche has planned for the powertrains. Typically, the automaker dials in horsepower in most classes with its updates. The lineup currently starts with the base Cayenne coupe, powered by a 335-horsepower V-6 turbo, and ends with the Turbo S E-Hybrid, which combines a twin-turbo V-8 with an electric motor for a combined 670 horsepower combined.
The hardcore turbo GT variant comes with a twin-turbo V8 that puts out 631 horsepower alone.
