Al Wehda vs Al Nassr Football Match Report – February 9, 2023

Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals, including his 500th career goal in the league, as Al Nassr beat Al Wehda 4-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday.

Ronaldo scored all four goals in 30 minutes on either side of half-time, including a penalty in the 51st minute, in a lopsided win away at the King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.

The 38-year-old’s first goal in the 21st minute was also the 500th league goal of his successful career before quickly taking his total to 503.

The former Real Madrid, Juventus and Sporting CP striker joined Al Nassr at the end of December after his contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated. He has signed a contract through the summer of 2025 and will reportedly be paid $75 million a year.

After going goalless in his first two games for his new club, Ronaldo has since gone on to have five games in two.

It is the first time Ronaldo has scored four goals in one game since Portugal’s EURO 2019 qualifier against Lithuania. The last time he scored four goals in a club game was for Real Madrid against Girona in LaLiga in March 2018.

The win put Al Nassr back at the top of the league table after 16 games and tied with second-placed Al Shabab on 37 points.
