Celebrities came to the White House for President Biden’s first state dinner

Hollywood is back at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., where President Biden can finally entertain a foreign dignitary – French President Emmanuel Macron – as well as celebrity supporters.

Thursday night marks the return of fancy state dinners… as the COVID pandemic forced Biden to cancel such events for the first two years of his tenure, but celebs are flocking back to the White House. No shocker.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are in the house, along with Stephen Colbert, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jennifer Garner and Ariana DeBose.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has also received an invite…he’s having a pretty busy week, just yesterday he met with Elon Musk at Apple’s headquarters in Cali and smoothed things over with Twitter.

All the pomp and circumstance is for France… Biden is working to repair the US relationship with European power.

These celebs are among the 300 guests at the gala dinner, where folks dine on the best cheese America has to offer Macron…plus Maine lobster, beef with shallot jam and triple-cooked buttered potatoes.

There’s also live music…Dr. Jill Biden booked Grammy-winning composer Jon Batiste in part because he hails from New Orleans, which Jill says was “influenced by both French and American cultures.”

Might be a fun evening as long as Macron isn’t offended by our cream cheese selection.
