Dead Space Remake: How To Find The Sea Shanty Easter Egg

When the Dead Space remake released last month, it exceeded expectations. It is by far one of the best video game remakes. It not only stayed true to the original but also added new content that blended seamlessly with the sci-fi horror game.

A fun addition to Dead Space Remake are Easter Eggs, which unlock upgrade items or additional parts of the game’s storyline. Red circles with symbols are placed all over the USG Ishimura. Players who follow the steps indicated by the icons will unlock the Easter Eggs.

There are several Easter Eggs, but one that has caught players’ attention is the ability to unlock a shanty over the haunted ship.

How to find Sea Shanty audio log

In order to find the Shanty Easter Egg, players must wait until they reach Chapter 4: Annihilation upcoming. This gives players access to the bridge section of the Ishimura, where there are two elevators in the center of the main atrium.

Where is the break room on the bridge?

After defeating the Brute, one of the larger monsters in the game, players can enter the elevator and go to Floor 1. There is a break room on this first floor. Instead of snacks and comfy chairs, there’s a gory shrine dedicated to the Marker, the artifact responsible for the horrors that happen on the ship.

Don’t spend too much time in the break room.

Important for this Easter egg is the bloody circle on the ground in front of the monitor showing the marker. There are two symbols in the circle: a foot and a hand. The foot represents the stomp Issac can perform and the hand is for a melee attack.

By going clockwise from the top of the circle and using a combination of stomps and melee attacks, you’ll unlock a secret item. You can tell that this has been achieved as a brief error appears on the monitor and a haunting sound effect plays.

The Sea Shanty Audiolog requires players to do the following while in the circle:

Melee – stomp – melee – melee – stomp – melee – stomp – melee – melee – melee – melee – stomp

The audio log will fall out of nowhere. Hear the crew of the Ishimura sing a disturbing sea shanty.

Now the sea shanty can be played at any time.

Dead Space is available for $60 on PC and $70 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
