Disney lays off 7,000 employees after releasing disgusting films aimed at indoctrinating children into the LGBT cult – zoohousenews.com

(Natural News) The Walt Disney Company announced it is laying off 7,000 employees as it tries to offset losses caused by its turn to wokeism.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the layoffs during a Feb. 8 conference call along with a mass restructuring plan. While most of the 7,000 employees to be made redundant are part of the DMED, the layoffs could have an impact across the company. The entertainment giant boss said the layoffs would save the company $5.5 billion.

The Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution (DMED) team of his predecessor Bob Chapek’s tenure would be disbanded, he said. DMED was led by its former chairman Kareem Daniel, who left Disney when Iger returned to the company in November 2022.

The soon-to-be-abolished department “oversaw everything from ad sales for Disney content and Disney+, to distribution, operations and engineering, and called the shots for how content was released,” according to IndieWire. However, DMED’s overarching authority took power away from the creative teams – something Iger wanted to restore.

A new division – Disney Entertainment – will be formed in its place. This new division will bring together Disney Studios, General Entertainment, Animation, Disney+, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight and Hulu under one roof. Disney General Entertainment acting chairman Dana Walden and Disney Studios chairman Alan Bergman will lead the new division as co-chairs.

During the earnings call, Iger explained that the new division “will have oversight of the content that Disney makes, how it’s distributed and monetized, and how it’s marketed.” He also commented that the previous structure under Chapek “severed that link.”

The Disney CEO cited a twofold reason for the reorganization. First, it served to encourage the storytelling and creativity that drives the company, founded in 1923 by brothers Roy and Walt Disney. Second, it tried to hold teams accountable for the financial performance of content.

Wakeism isn’t exactly the best for business

Disney grew its direct-to-consumer revenue to $5.3 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2023, according to Iger. However, it still suffered a loss of $1.05 billion in this area. The loss was attributed to the departure of 2.4 million Disney+ subscribers worldwide over the past four months. (Related: Disney is on the brink of financial collapse, a leaked memo reveals.)

Breitbart’s John Nolte put his two cents on Iger’s plans to lay off Disney employees and restructure the company in a Feb. 9 comment. He pointed out that the streaming service’s domestic growth has “stalled,” despite being just over two years old.

“Obviously that’s not happening, which is why Iger is panicking with massive layoffs, consolidations and cost cutting,” Nolte wrote.

“We all know what happens here: the cleaning chickens come home to settle. No decent parent feels safe leaving their child alone with Disney+, which has become a streaming service steeped in racism, adult sexuality and pro-mutilation propaganda.”

Nolte also cited the poor performance of two Disney animated films – “Lightyear” and “Strange World” – as another reason for Disney’s losses.

Both films “were bombed at the box office because of Disney’s obscene decision to include homosexual acts,” he said. “These are features aimed at children, and no parent wants to leave a theater forced to talk to their five-year-old about alternative sexual lifestyles.”

Breitbart’s senior writer dubbed Disney a “kid robber” and likened it to “the entertainment equivalent of a creepy guy in a park holding a lollipop and wearing nothing but a raincoat.”

“I wouldn’t let Disney anywhere near my children and the only way this evil will stop is through market pressure. If I were king, every parent who subscribed to Disney+ would get a visit from social services. You should protect your child’s innocence and not betray it with Disney’s bright porn.”
