Dispute in the Senegalese parliament after the member of parliament hit a colleague

Senegal’s parliament tussled on Thursday after opposition MP Massata Samb slapped ruling party’s Amy Ndiaye Gniby during a budget presentation.

There has been tension between government and opposition politicians since a general election in July, in which the ruling party lost its comfortable majority.
