Elon Musk said Friday that Twitter suspended Kanye West’s account again after the rapper tweeted a symbol with a swastika and an unflattering photo of the billionaire.
Musk, who bought Twitter in October, tweeted Friday, “I tried my best. Despite this, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.” Musk added in a separate tweet on Friday that he is suspending the account “for incitement to violence, not for an unflattering picture of me.”

West’s return to Twitter, now known as Ye, was short-lived. Twitter restored the rapper’s account in late November, which came just weeks after Musk bought the social media service. The musician was banned from his account in October after the service called it “a violation of Twitter’s policies.”
Ye has made a string of anti-Semitic remarks in recent weeks, including praising Hitler in an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday. Yes’s comments led to him being suspended from social media platforms, his talent agency dropping him and companies like Adidas cutting ties with him. The sporting goods manufacturer has also launched an investigation into his behavior.
On Thursday, Parler said Ye will no longer buy the social media site, marking the artist’s latest business partnership, which is dissolving after his anti-Semitic remarks.
According to a Thursday tweet from Parler’s parent company, Parlement Technologies, the proposed deal was called off in mid-November “in the interest of both parties.” Plans for the purchase were first announced in October.
