Golden Globes 2022: The full list of award winners

The Power of the Dog was one of the biggest winners of the night.

Netflix

You may have noticed the lack of fuss about golden balls this year. The 2022 party took place on Sunday, January 9 at 6 p.m. PT, but you can’t watch it on network TV or live. The show, which was once the cult awards show for adult celebs — once the show spawned a lasting show highlighting a celebrity-roasted reel of five-time host Ricky Gervais — is back on the drawing board.

Questions about lack of diversity, voting and finances The awards, administered by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, saw the celebrity boycott. This year’s party, held at the Beverly Hilton, has turned into a special event.

In the film categories, the biggest winner was Benedict Cumberbatch starring in The Power of the Dog, a Western movie that won three awards: Best Picture (Drama), Best Director for Jane Campion and Best Supporting Actor for Kodi Smit-McPhee. Steven Spielberg’s musical West Side Story had a similarly good night, winning Best Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for Rachel Ziegler and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Ariana DeBose.
