Here are Taco Bell’s 2 new Mexican pizzas
Just months after the return of the popular Mexican pizza, Taco Bell is trying two new flavors of the cross-cultural dish. However, you must be in either Oklahoma or Nebraska to try them.
Beginning Dec. 22, the fast-food chain will begin testing the Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican pizza at Taco Bells in Oklahoma City. The flavorful flatbread features nacho cheese and pickled jalapeno slices on a traditional Mexican pizza—two crispy tortilla shells filled with seasoned beef and bean sauce, topped with pizza sauce, tomatoes, and a tri-cheese mix.
About 450 miles away, Taco Bell customers in Omaha, Nebraska can try the Triple Crunch Mexican Pizza, which adds a third bowl and additional servings of beans and beef to the pizza.
Either pizza can be purchased a la carte or as part of a combo meal that includes two tacos and a tall soda.
Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza costs between $4.99 and $5.49 depending on location. But if you’re not in the Oklahoma City area, The Takeout reported, you can make your own by requesting jalapeño peppers and a side of nacho cheese sauce for your regular Mexican pizza. (Customizing your own costs just over $6, though.)

Mexican pizza disappeared from Taco Bell in November 2020 due to pandemic-related ingredient shortages. It returned to the menu this May with much fanfare. Within a few weeks, however, Taco Bell was sold seven times as many pizzas as expected and had to pull the item again until stocks of ingredients could be secured.
Mexican pizza made a permanent return to the menu in September.
Like other fast-food chains, Taco Bell frequently tests new menu items and variations: In November, Taco Bell rolled out 7-layer nacho fries statewide and tested Grilled Cheese nacho fries in Sacramento, California.
In a press release this week, the company said fans should “keep watching for more news about Mexican pizza heading into 2023.”
