It’s a big one
[Update: The full Endwalker 6.0 patch notes are live here.]
The Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker 6.0 patch will be huge, as is almost every patch fourteenth patch. Here’s some help parsing it down, and some big changes.
For reference, you can find the full official initial patch notes here.
New main story mission
duh! This is perhaps the biggest thing to do, as new cities (Old Sharlayan and Radz-at-han) have been added, as well as new field areas (Labyrinthos, Thavnair, Garlemald, Mare Lamentorum).
There are also other areas that weren’t included in the initial notes to avoid spoilers, but that’s the gist. Reminder, The new level limit is 90 ..
Of course, more side quests, dungeons, and trials are also done via Endwalker 6.0 patch.
FATEs and hunts have been upgraded in new areas
So FATEs (General Tasks of the World) have new incentives. After completing them you can get “Dicolor Gems”, which can be exchanged into Gem Dealer NPCs for new rewards. Completing more Destiny will result in new rewards, so there’s another extracurricular issue if you want to take part in it. There is a “Shared FATE” menu now that you can use to track your progress with this system.
Hunts have a similar mechanic, with “Sacks of Nuts” that can be earned and delivered via:
- Old Charlene (X: 11.9 Y: 13.2) – J’lakshai
- Radz-at-Han (X: 10.5 Y: 7.4) – Wilmetta
To start this mechanic, visit Old Sharlayan (X: 11.2 Y: 12.0) and talk to Minutive Gleaner.
A new residential neighborhood is coming, but you can’t buy a plot yet
Empyreum can be explored, but it is not yet open for business. You can access it via the Foundation, and the plots will be for sale via the lottery in patch 6.1 after the launch of Endwalker 6.0 patch.
Here is the official word: “In preparation for the lottery sale system to be implemented in patch 6.1, it will no longer be possible to transfer ownership of a plot of land that is not yet ready for purchase.”
Male Viras in
He said enough!
Added Reaper and Sage functions
New DPS class (we needed more!) and processor ready. We’ll have more details on where they are soon, but the gist is that you have to be level 70 and head to Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X: 12.8 Y: 8.6) and Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 9.4 Y: 12.9) Straight.
Jobs have been reworked
So there’s a lot of ground to cover here, but the video above actually shows some new concepts for current functionality. We’ll get the full feedback as the game starts.
Previously earned experience points from standard dungeon enemies will now be earned from dungeon bosses
This is self-explanatory, and applies to pretty much all content. Plan accordingly!
Eden’s Promise raid is easier with new Echo improvements
So if you haven’t made Eden’s promise (Shadow sailsRaid so far, now might be your time to shine. The “echo” system (where the limbs get stronger after they clear) has been augmented in Eden’s Promise, as a “catch-up” mechanism of sorts. Almost all stats will now be improved by 20% due to Echo.
Ancient coin Allegan tomstones out
Tomestomes were made for symbols (poetic exchange in 6.0), revelation exchange for poetics in 6.0, and phantasmagoria (perfectly gone). Poets can be acquired through activities up to level 80.
The service has been changed
Servants (Servants, NPCs, or Extended Banks) have been changed using the Endwalker 6.0 patch.
The new level limit is 90, they can be assigned new Sage or Reaper jobs, and their experience requirements have been changed in line with the new XP system. In other words, most of the same guidelines reflect the players.
There is a new Ethernet rad map
This thing would be very useful, but note that it does not work in The Forbidden Land, Bozjan Southern Front, Zadnor, or The Firmament.
Added a lot of possibilities and goals related to quality of life
- HP bars appear even when someone dies.
- The party menu displays the targets of the spell in combat.
- “Added option to use airline tickets only when the cost exceeds the specified travel allowance.”
- Ether Compass is now in the collection list.
- You can rearrange the display for optimization and debuffs: “From the System menu, open the HUD Layout interface. After selecting any of the status information categories from the drop-down list, open the widget’s settings menu. Next, under Layout, select Split Item into 4 groups.
- G-pose is easier to do now and has more options.
This is most of the big things! Notes have a lot.
