Jeremy Renner tried to save his nephew before he was hit by a snow plow

A real superhero.

Almost a month after Avengers star Jeremy Renner was hospitalized for injuries sustained when he was run over by a snow removal tractor, more details about the accident have emerged.

According to a Nevada Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by CNN, the actor tried to stop the snowplow from sliding and hitting his nephew, resulting in him being pulled under the machine.

“The PistenBully snow cat began to slide, resulting in Renner getting out of the vehicle without applying the emergency brake,” the outlet’s records said. “Although the snow groomer had some mechanical problems, based on our mechanical inspection it is believed that the parking brake would prevent the snow groomer from moving forward.”

The report continued, “When Renner attempted to stop or divert the snow groomer to avoid injuring (his nephew), he was pulled off the track under the vehicle and run over.”

The records also told CNN that mechanical problems “were possibly a factor in this accident,” adding that Renner’s nephew was able to help until help arrived.
