Kim Kardashian opens up about Kanye West contacting him amid feud – Hollywood Life

Kim Kardashian took her daughter North West to Paris Couture Fashion Week on the November 24 episode of The Kardashians. Kim wanted North to see her at work to prove that work can be fun when you’re passionate about it. For one of North’s outfits on the trip, she wore dad Kanye West’s jacket, which he first rocked in 2008.

“It’s going to be a big fashion moment,” Kim gushed in the episode, which filmed in early summer 2022. “Kanye tends not to take care of his stuff and gives everything away and it hit the internet and I got it last week. Kanye knows I’m so protective of his stuff for the kids.”

Though Kim and Kanye split in February 2021, they stayed in touch as co-parents and went through periods of great ups and downs after the breakup. One of her low points was in early 2022 when Kanye publicly challenged Kim on social media multiple times. However, Kim explained that during this time she contacted Kanye about the children.

“Even when he was at his peak of not speaking to me and being mad at me, he won a few Grammys and I still reached out and said, ‘I know you won a few Grammys. I need to add them to the vault,’” Kim revealed. “And he was like ‘okay.’ Because the kids want them, you know? And I want to bring them all together.”

The state of Kim and Kanye’s current relationship is unclear. She publicly condemned him after he made anti-Semitic remarks on social media in September. However, in the weeks that followed, they were spotted together on numerous occasions at sporting events for their children. They are currently in the process of drafting a custody agreement and settling their divorce.

On the Paris trip, however, Kim clearly focused on the north. “Every kid rides with me at least once a year,” Kim explained. “Nord loves this. She’s here with her mother and grandma. It also simply shows my daughter what work I put into it. There’s a whole business behind it and I’m happy to show her that I still enjoy it.”
