Lisa Marie Presley dies after second cardiac arrest, family signs DNR

Lisa Marie Presley’s heart stopped a second time after her hospitalization, but due to her hopeless condition… her family had already ordered doctors not to revive her.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Lisa Marie was pronounced brain dead after being rushed to the hospital on Thursday. As we first reported, doctors put her in an induced coma and put her on life support.

Due to the fact that she was brain dead, we’re told family members signed a DNR…order not to resuscitate if she’s flat again.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened… Lisa Marie suffered a second cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Of course, it’s unclear how long she was without oxygen before her housekeeper found her in her bedroom unresponsive on Thursday morning. CPR was administered… first by her ex-husband, Danny Keough, and then by EMTs.

They were able to get a pulse again before Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital, but as we all learned after Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin’s incident…rapid response to cardiac arrest can literally mean the difference between life and death.
