Turns out there’s something worse than being thrown into one of the most extreme environments on earth with no food, clothing or water – and it involves a survivalist’s penis and an open flame!!!

The painful crisis unfolds in the upcoming season premiere of Discovery’s “Naked And Afraid” … as hot coals burst from a fire – set for heat and survival – and land on the tip of British contestant Sam Mouzer’s penis, which he refers to as his ” Little Soldier’s Helmet”.

TMZ has video of the lewd incident…Sam and fellow campaigner Lilly are sleeping naked by the flame when Sam suddenly cried out in pain. Talk about unfriendly fire.

While Sam worries that after 21 days in the American Wild West, his little soldier will look like he’s been shot at with buckshot, medics were on hand to ease the pain.

Check out the clip…Sam is somehow able to maintain a sense of humor while the medical staff did their thing downstairs.

Laughter must really be the best medicine because we can’t figure out how he managed a smile.

The new season premieres on Sunday, and Discovery tells us that Sam and Lilly spend three weeks in New Mexico on the mangle… where they’re stuffed with snake droppings, coping with falling temperatures and being stung by scorpions.
