New Agent Neon Brings Sprinting And Sliding To Valorant

In its latest (and awesome) reveal trailer, Neon, the newest agent about to be introduced to Riot’s team-based tactical shooter, valuation, breaks the basic rule of the sweaty, sweaty type, and taps the head – it can actually move smoothly.

Despite this, Riot has been able to make the game’s dozen and change customers feel different from one another.

Neon continues this tradition with a unique movement, strange smoke and stuns, and Emperor Palpatine damage based on lightning. Her signature ability seems to allow her to run, for the first time valuation. She puts down her weapon and runs forward, which can then be restrained in a sliding motion, during which she prepares for her weapon. This movement technique will likely make her an absolute beast with the game’s submachine guns and shotguns, allowing her to excel in close combat situations.

In addition to its mobility, Neon appears to have a unique double smoke wall, which creates a thin tunnel of smoke through which enemies will have to fight. By creating a closed lane, Neon will easily be able to enforce 1v1 situations and isolate opponents through line-of-sight control. Complementing her basic abilities is an amazing, one time bounce bomb – hitting enemies with chickens at both bounce points and landings. Finally, her ultimate ability appears to be a recoilless and continuous fire damage ability, which seems to rip enemies completely apart if her trailer is to be believed.

While no one knows how powerful it is until Riot releases a complete ability breakdown and gets into the hands of the pros, there are a few things that are certain by the short glimpse we see of its capabilities in the dealer’s promo. First, it’s a duel, one of valuationDevoted killers. Duelists are expected to “get into the fray,” which basically means that their job is to start fights and put their bodies to the test for the sake of their teammates. It is well known that many fencers are afraid to break in and will hide behind their teammates – which infuriates them endlessly. Please don’t do this.

Second, its unique movement would be very divisive. valuation It tries to ride a fine line between sticking to the heart of tactical shooters and allowing for more expressive play. Neon is already accused of being a “run and shoot” character on both Twitter and YouTube, and those accusations will likely continue when she’s officially released. However, I would argue that characters with unique movement ability are not only good, but also useful for the game – especially considering how fragile the characters are in valuation.

The real thing that will determine Neon’s running and rifle abilities is how important the penalty for aiming her slide is, as the trailer is only shown to her with a Stinger, valuationThe SMG is fast-fired and imprecise to incinerate opponents at close range. If you retain any semblance of accuracy while sliding, you may have an outrageous combat advantage worth worrying about. Otherwise, it’s just a unique trick that will let her in (or die trying) very quickly.

When I first played the beta two years ago, part of me was skeptical that the team at Riot Games could consistently produce characters with interesting abilities using just a few basic tools like flash, smoking, teleportation, and stun. Despite the simplicity of the format, more than a dozen unique agents have exited the game and are still going strong. I’m excited to see what they do next. Personally, I’m hoping for a new character to gather information, but that’s just me.
