Noodle Bones Day pug dies aged 14

It’s a somber No Bone day for Noodle the Pug fans.

The TikTok star, who has brought joy to countless people, has died at the age of 14, his owner Jonathan Graziano revealed in a tearful video on Saturday.

“He was home, he was in my arms, and that’s incredibly sad,” Graziano said. “It’s incredibly difficult. It’s a day I always knew was coming but never thought it would come.”

Noodle, a rescue dog who was 7 years old when Graziano adopted him, rose to fame last year for his daily vibe predictions. In the morning, Graziano gently propped Noodle up in his dog bed. If Noodle stopped, it would mean that the day ahead was a “bone day” — a day to get out there and get things going. However, when the dog flopped back into bed, it was a boneless day — a day to relax.

“A bone day is a day when you just have to follow your ambition or a task that you’ve put off,” Graziano told Today last year. “A boneless day is a day when you are only allowed to wear soft clothing, take care of yourself and take a bath.”

Such was Noodle’s influence that New York State honored him in an official ceremony and praised him for bringing “joy and hope to New Yorkers.”

The typical lifespan for a Pug is 13-15 years, according to the American Kennel Club.

“He lived 14.5 years, which is about as long as you could hope for a dog, and he’s made millions of people happy,” Graziano said. “What a run.”
