Who’s Performing at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show?
Ooh na na, what’s her name? It’s Rihanna.
The superstar announced she’ll be fronting the halftime show on September 25 in typically iconic fashion: a picture of her tattooed hand holding up a soccer ball.
Though she’s only been in talks to sing on the show in the past, the 34-year-old noted that becoming a mom to her and boyfriend A$AP Rocky last May influenced her decision to say yes solo performance.
“But when you become a mother,” she said apple music in a February 9 interview: “Something just happens that makes you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything and the Super Bowl is one of the greatest stages in the world.”
And what’s on the setlist? The bad girl captured details other than running time.
“The setlist was the biggest challenge,” she shared. “That was the hardest, hardest part – deciding how to maximize thirteen minutes but also celebrate. This will be the show, it will be a celebration of my catalog in the best way we could have put it together. “
