A new poll shows Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) leading Herschel Walker in the Georgia Senate runoff, prompting Republicans to file an emergency call to halt Saturday’s early voting.
Georgia Republicans and the RNC appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court:

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported an AARP poll showing why Republicans are trying to quash the vote:
The poll, commissioned by AARP, found Warnock at 51% and Walker at 47% – within a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.
…
Warnock leads voters aged 18-49 by 24 points. But Walker has a 9-point advantage among voters over 50. The poll shows that 90% of these older voters are “extremely motivated.” About three quarters of voters under 50 say they share this intensity.
The poll also found that Warnock has a double-digit lead over Independents, who make up 30% of the Georgia electorate. So Republicans must find a way to keep young people, independents and African Americans from voting in the Senate runoff, because anything but low turnout means a win for Sen. Warnock.
Republicans like to claim fraud and elections are stolen when they lose, but their behavior in Georgia shows a willingness to try to manipulate an electorate to put an unelected candidate in office.
