Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has launched a devastating attack on Russia over a heartless spate of brutal holiday bombings, warning the “terrorist state” that it will never be forgiven for the outrageously cruel war it has waged against the Ukrainian people.
“The terrorist state will not be forgiven. And those who order such strikes and those who carry them out will not be pardoned. To put it mildly,” Zelenskyy warned in a speech on Saturday.
Describing Russian attackers as inhuman, he vowed, “non-humans will lose.”
“They made such attacks at Easter, at Christmas, at New Year… They call themselves Christians, they are very proud of their Orthodoxy. But they follow the devil. They support him and are with him,” added Zelenskyy.
He said the only true purpose of the brutal war is so that one person – Russian President Vladimir Putin – can “remain in power until the end of his life”.
“Their leader,” Zelenskyy added, turning to the Russians, “want to show that he has the troops behind and is ahead. But he’s just hiding. He hides behind the troops, behind rockets, behind the walls of his residences and palaces.”
Putin “hides behind you and burns your country and your future. Nobody will ever forgive you for terror,” he warned the Russians. “Nobody in the world will forgive you for that. Ukraine will never forgive.”
